Most cases of constipation respond to conservative treatment such as dietary and lifestyle changes or mild laxatives.

Dietary changes include getting enough of the optional daily amount of fiber (20 to 35 grams), drinking 64 ounces of water or juice a day, and restrictive foods that have little or no fiber, such as ice cream, cheese, meat and process foods.

Home Remedies for Constipation

1.  Bale fruit is the best laxative of all fruits. It clean and tones up the intestines & gives constipation relief. Giving bran cereal may ease constipation in, infants and older children

2.  Guava when eaten with seeds provides roughage to diet can give relief from constipation and this is very effective home remedy for constipation.

3.  Apple pectin helps with constipation and brings fibers into the body.

4.  An insufficient intake of folic acid also leads to constipation. Thus to keep away from constipation take sufficient amount of folic acid.

5.  To avoid constipation take Aloe Vera juice twice a day.

6.  Eating more fruits can also helps to stop constipation such as prune pears, grapes, Orange juice & Papaya?

7.  Ginger tea is a very good home remedy for constipation. It helps start bowel group.

8.  Add one tablespoonful of corn syrup to 8oz of water to cure constipation

9.  Yerba mate in tea form is very obliging with constipation.
